Payouts
How your earnings are collected, when you get paid, and how to set up your payout method.
How Payouts Work
PulsePlugin uses Stripe Connectto process payouts. When a buyer purchases your plugin, the sale amount (minus Stripe's processing fee and the PulsePlugin platform fee) is credited to your Stripe Connect balance.
Payouts are processed automatically on a monthly schedule, on the 1st of each month for the previous month's earnings. You can also trigger a manual payout at any time once your balance exceeds the minimum threshold.
Setting Up Payouts
Before you can receive payouts you must connect a Stripe account:
- Go to Seller Hub → Settings → Payouts.
- Click Connect Stripe Account. You will be redirected to Stripe to create or link an existing Stripe Express account.
- Complete Stripe's identity verification (required by financial regulations). This typically takes 1–2 minutes.
- Once verified, your Stripe Connect account is linked and payouts will begin automatically.
Minimum Payout Threshold
The minimum payout threshold is $10.00. If your balance is below this at the monthly payout date, earnings roll over to the next cycle. You can lower the threshold by triggering a manual payout.
Taxes & W-9 / W-8BEN
PulsePlugin and Stripe may require tax forms depending on your location and earnings:
- US sellers — Stripe collects a W-9 form for earnings over $600/year (required for 1099-K reporting).
- Non-US sellers — Stripe may collect a W-8BEN form to confirm non-US status and apply the correct withholding.
Tax forms are submitted through Stripe's dashboard. PulsePlugin does not provide tax advice — consult a tax professional for your specific situation.
Refunds & Disputes
If a buyer receives a refund or initiates a chargeback, the corresponding sale amount is deducted from your balance. In the case of a chargeback, Stripe's dispute fee ($15) is also charged.
You can contest chargebacks by submitting evidence through your Stripe dashboard. Contact PulsePlugin support if you need help gathering evidence (download logs, license activation records, etc.).
